Celine Van Ouytsel bagged the Miss Belgium 2020 crown on January 11, even after an embarrassing fall during the finals held at the Plopsaland Theater in De Panne.

The 23-year-old law graduate from Antwerp earned the fans’ praise when she picked herself up after falling onstage during the live finale and gracefully walking off as if nothing happened, leaving her strapless bra on the floor.

“I just had to get up again, as you so often do in life,” Van Ouytsel was quoted after the finals.

She bested 31 other aspirants for the title and is expected to compete at the 2020 Miss World contest.

Celest Decaestecker placed first runner-up, while Anicca Van Hollebeke finished second runner-up. Laura Vanquaillie and Elize Baron were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
