Miss Earth Samoa 2018 is Rebecca Sang Yum

Samoa’s representative to the 2018 Miss Earth pageant was crowned on July 13 during the Miss Samoa NSW finals.

Rebecca Sang Yum, a 20-year-old pharmacy assistant, is set to represent the south Pacific islands in the Philippine-based pageant later this year.

Sang Yum, who is taking up commerce at the Auckland University of Technology/Australian Catholic University, also bagged the Miss Personality, Best Sarong, and Best Puletasi awards.

“By working collectively, we can uplift and most importantly, find strength in using our own creative licenses to drive positive change in and for each other,” she said in her Miss Samoa NSW profile.

The Miss Samoa NSW 2018 title went to Ritalila Temareti, while Sally Moe was named Miss Pageant of the World Samoa 2018.

Samoa has yet to win the Miss Earth crown. Missosology.Org
