Miss World has been a leading innovator when it comes to engaging the public to help decide on who should win the crown. From the SMS voting the early 2000s to online voting and now through the official Miss World app, millions of people have casted their votes thus stirring the interest of the general public towards beauty pageants. It is an open secret that national organizations tapped the traditional media and social media to rally their base to vote.
This year, a voter needs to download the Miss World app. Upon downloading, you get to choose your Top 3 for free. Purchasing a subscription, will give you additional 3 votes. The winner of the public voting a.k.a. People’s Choice instantly gets a Top 10 placement.
