There are so many people who can’t move on and accept the fact that Pia Wurtzbach won the Miss Universe title. That deep seated resentment usually resides within those without class or those who desperately yearn for their elusive victory. After all, why do they have to dwell in bitterness when nothing they can do or say can change the truth?

That is why the reign of Pia Wurtzbach as Miss Universe 2015 was off to a rocky start. Of course, we all knew what happened during the finals night but most people including a vast number of Colombians have moved on and has accepted the results. One can actually get the impression that most of the people who are bitter of Pia’s victory are from those outside of Colombia especially from those countries who clapped very hard.

Amidst this rather complicated backdrop, Pia Wurtzbach rose to the occasion and proved her detractors wrong. She earned the admiration and respect of so many people. She was invited to attend the finals night of various national pageants including Peru and Cayman Islands. She also visited Ecuador and bagged several product endorsement contracts not only in her native Philippines but also in Thailand and in Indonesia.

As Miss Universe, Pia met the expectations set by her predecessors. She is well loved by the American press and above all by her fellow Filipinos. She is warmly received wherever she goes and she worked tirelessly on her platform which is AIDS awareness. She won over most of her critics through the warmth of her personality and by her confident attitude. She is truly a Miss Universe with a heart and no bitter detractor can take away her crown, her title, her happiness for she truly deserves what she is having right now.
