Bessika Bucktowar won the Miss Mauritius 2016 crown at the conclusion of the pageant held in La Plantation Hotel, Albion on August 6. She succeeded the last year’s winner Danika Atchia.
Meanwhile, the first runner-up is Julie Charles with Shavina Hulkua as the second runner-up. Earlier in the pre-finals contest, Bessika Bucktowar won the Miss Elegant award. She is expected to represent Mauritius at the Miss World 2017 contest.
