Alexandra Krijger was appointed as Miss World Curacao 2015 in a ceremony held St. Tropez Ocean Club in Willemstad. The 18 year old beauty was third runner-up at the Miss World Curacao 2014 pageant. Alexandra will represent Curacao at the Miss World 2015 finals which is to be held in Sanya, China on December 19.
Curacao is not that lucky when it comes to Miss World pageant. The Dutch Caribbean island first participated in 1975 and the only time that it made to the semis was in 2002. Ayannette Statia is the lone Curaçaoan beauty to have ever landed at the semis and coincidentally is the aunt of Alexandra Krijger.
