Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 queens Glennifer Perido and Eva Psychee Patalinhug are all set to compete in their respective international pageants this December and January. A joint send-off press conference was held for them last December 5 at the Sequoia Hotel in Quezon City.
Perido, a native of Kalinga, will compete in the Miss Tourism International 2014-15 pageant to be held in Malaysia from December 9 to 31. She will face more than 60 candidates from around the world in the finals to be held at the Putrajaya International Convention Center on New Year’s Eve.
Acknowledging the pressure of a 3-peat following the victories of Rizzini Gomez and Angeli Dione Gomez in 2012 and 2013 respectively, Perido said: “I didn’t diminish my excitement and motivation to represent our country in the best way I could possibly do and by God’s grace, also bring hionor and pride for the country.
Meanwhile, Patalinghug is preparing to compete in the Top Model of the World 2015 competition to be held in Qingdao, China from Janurary 8 to 28, 2015. This 5’8″ Cebuana beauty will compete with almost 70 delegates from around the globe.
Present during the send-off event are last year’s Mutya ng Pilipinas queens: reigning Miss Tourism International Angeli Dione Gomez and Miss Intercontinental 2013 3rd runner-up Koreen Medina.
