YULIA Polyachikhina from the Chuvash Region was crowned Miss Russia 2018 at a glittering ceremony held at the Barvikha concert hall on Saturday, April 14.
The 18-year-old student at Chuvash State University’s Department of Journalism bested 49 other candidates for the right to represent the country at the Miss World and/or Miss Universe pageants. She received the new Miss Russia crown from last year’s winner Polina Popova, who placed in the Top 10 of Miss World 2017.
“I am incredibly happy. There are no words to describe it,” Polyachikhina was quoted by Tass.com.
Violetta Tyurkina and Natalya Stroeva placed first and second runners-up, respectively. Missosology.Org
