Valeria Barrios, the representative of Salto, was crowned Miss Earth Uruguay 2016 during the finals of Miss Uruguay 2016 held September 17.
She bested 12 other candidates for the right to represent Uruguay at the 2016 Miss Earth finals to be held next month in the Philippines.
Micaela Fernández (Montevideo) won Miss Uruguay Intercontinental while Wendy Lehmann (Durazno) was named Miss Uruguay for Reina Internacional del Café.
