Beauty pageants has long been accused as a superficial and frivolous affair that has no place in modern society. It is of course an unfair assertion and unfortunately even to those who follow beauty pageants religiously, superficiality creeps in. Beauty pageant contestants were oftentimes given with cursory glance. People tend to be oblivious of the fact that behind every stunning look, every elegant catwalk and every witty answers has an underlying story.
The selection of Timeless Beauty is a tradition of Missosology anchored on the very idea that the story of every beauty pageant contestant matters. The impact of these beautiful women from breaking glass ceilings to overcoming poverty must take a centerstage. Beauty pageants are about empowering women and giving them a unique platform that can raise their voices. A Timeless Beauty doesn’t necessary mean she is the most beautiful but rather she is the most impactful. From making history to championing an advocacy, these ten finalists of Timeless Beauty 2023 has a story to tell.
