Thessaly Zimmerman was crowned Miss Universe Aruba 2021 in a special ceremony held July 30 at the House of Mosaic in Oranjestad.
The 26-year-old social media coordinator and communications graduate will head on to compete at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December. She succeeded last year’s winner Helen Hernandez.
“I cannot express how proud I am to be the newly crowned Miss Universe Aruba 2021. I wanted to thank everyone that made last night possible and believed in me from the start,” Zimmerman posted on Instagram a day after her coronation.
No stranger to the pageant world, Zimmerman was Miss Teen Aruba International 2012 and competed at the Miss Teen Americas 2013 in El Salvador.
