Susy Sacoto, representing Portoviejo, was crowned Miss Ecuador2021 during the finals held September 11 in Quevedo, Los Ríos.
The 24-year-old lawyer and medicine student bested 19 other finalists for the title. She will represent the nation at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December. She suceeded 2020 titleholder Leyla Espinoza.
Valeria Gutiérrez, representing the Ecuadorian community in the USA, placed first runner-up and was named Miss Ecuador International 2021. She will compete at the 60th Miss International beauty pageant.
Karla Romero finished second runner-up, while Génesis Guerrero and Valeri Carabali were third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Sofia Jiménez Thompson and Melane Rubio completed the Top 7.
