Stephanie del Valle Diaz, representating Toa Baja, was crowned tonight as the new Miss Mundo Puerto Rico. The 19 year old beauty is currently studying her first year in communications and pre-legal special program at the Pace University in New York. Stephanie will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss World 2016 pageant later this year.
Puerto Rico boasts one Miss World winner – Wilnelia Merced who won in 1975. It’s latest good showing was in 2011 when Amanda Vilanova finished as 2nd runner-up. The country is currently ranked 18th in the Big4 Ranking (soon to be Big5 Ranking).
