Sothnisay Heng has been handpicked to represent Cambodia at the 2020 Miss Earth virtual competition in November.
The 24-year-old graduating student is pursuing a degree in international relations in Pannasatra University. Prior to being appointed as Miss Earth Cambodia, she was Miss University Cambodia 2016 first runner-up and Miss Cosmopolitan World Cambodia 2016.
“I’m excited at the same time challenged as the new normal needs a lot of adjustments. I’m here now as an Eco Angel who will promote Cambodia to the rest of the world,” Heng said in a statement.

She works as and external relations officer for an NGO in Phnom Penh that focuses on underprivileged high school students to pursue a higher education. She just completed last July her international exchange program in Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, USA.
