Sóldís Vala Ívarsdóttir is 18 years of age and will represent Iceland at the Miss Universe 2024 competition in Mexico later this year. She hails from the town of Arbaer and her hobbies include gymnastics and playing soccer. She is currently studying in high school and will soon pursue a degree in aviation after she graduates.
Sóldís Vala Ívarsdóttir hopes to become the first Icelandic woman to win the Miss Universe crown. The highest placement of Iceland at the pageant was the first runner-up finish of Anna Geirsdóttir in 1962. Its latest placement meanwhile was in 2019 when Birta Abiba Þórhallsdóttir made it to the Top 10. Iceland is currently ranked 39th at the Big5 Ranking.
