Twenty-two year old Sofía Osío Luna has been designated as Miss International Colombia 2023. The 5’10” beauty who hails from Barranquilla will compete in the 61st edition of Miss International which is most likely to be held in Japan. She is the reigning Señorita Colombia which is the premier national pageant in Colombia. The pageant was founded in 1934 and previously the winners were sent to Miss Universe while the first runner-up competes at Miss International. The designation of Sofía as Miss International Colombia 2023 is in line with the latest trend wherein established and premier national pageants are now sending their winners to Miss International.
Colombia boasts three Miss International crown. The first ever Miss International is Miss Colombia María Stella Márquez Zawadsky. In 1999, Paulina Galvéz became the second Colombian Miss International and in 2004, Jeymmy Vargas brought home the third title of Colombia.
