Simrithi Batjija from Mumbai was crowned Miss India International 2019 during the Glamanand Supermodel India 2019 finals held September 29 at Jai Bagh Palace in Jaipur.

She bested 18 other candidates for the title and the right to represent India at the 2019 Miss International beauty pageant in December in Tokyo, Japan.

“I will give my best to bring the first Miss International crown home. I hope I am able to make the country proud,” Batjija said.

Trisha Shettyand Aparna Jha placed first and second runners-up, respectively.

Batjija is a 20-year-old model from Mulin. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Media from Jai Hind College and is a trained dancer and athlete.

Also crowned in the same event is Miss India Multinational 2019 Tanvi Malhara from Mumbai. The 24-year-old former radio jockey and national level swimmer will compete at the 2019 Miss Multinational pageant in New Delhi, India this December.

Meanwhile, the Miss Teen India International 2019 pageant was held in the same venue on September 30, with Aayushi Dholakia winning the top plum. She will represent India at the International Beauty Pageant for Teenagers in December.

Vridhi Jain took home the Miss Teen India Universe 2019 title and will travel to Mexico for the Miss Teen Universe 2019 competition in November.
