Shiyin Yang from Beijing was crowned Miss Universe China 2021 in glittering finale held November 7 at the Portman Seven Stars Bay Hotel in Xiamen.
The 20-year-old student bested 68 other candidates for the title. She will represent China at the 70th edition of the Miss Universe competition in December in Eilat, Israel. She succeeded 2020 titleholder Jiaxin Sun.
Mengyu Ye and Jina Yang placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
Shiyun Yang is currently studying literary and artistic directing at Communication University of China.
