Sheen Cher was crowned Miss World Singapore 2019 during the finals held October 20 at Mediacorp Studio.

The 22-year-old entrepreneurship graduate will head on to compete at the 2019 Miss World contest in December in London.

“I am so honoured to be crowned as Miss World Singapore 2019. This has been an incredible journey and I met the nicest people along the way,” Cher posted on Instagram.

“The Miss World Singapore Organisation has created an amazing platform for all of us young women to be empowered to create positive change in our society. I want to use this opportunity to reach out to children suffering from brain tumours, to help raise awareness for those in need. I will embark on this journey and do my best to represent Singapore on the world stage!”

Rafillah Rapit and Janna Tan were named first and second princesses, respectively. Trishala Nar Singh and Kareena Kaur completed the Top 5.

Singapore has yet to win the Miss World crown. The country currently ranks 64th in Missosology Big 5 Ranking. Missosology.Org; Photos from Miss World Singapore page
