Sharon Obara was crowned Miss World Kenya 2021 during the finals held August 28 at the Trademark Hotel in Nairobi.
The 19-year-old special education professional and model from Nairobi bested 15 other candidates for the title. She will head on to represent the African nation at the 70th Miss World in December in Puerto Rico. She succeeded 2019 winner Wavinya Maria.
Chantou Kwamboka and Mwihaki Njogu were first and second runners-up, respectively.
“I vow to do my best, lead with my heart,continue the miss World legacy and most importantly touch twice as many lives through my beauty with a purpose project,” Obara posted on Instagram.
