Shannon Tudela Sasamoto is Miss Marianas 2019
Shannon Tudela Sasamoto was crowned Miss Marianas 2019 during the finals held June 15 at the Hibiscus Hall of Fiesta Resort & Spa in Saipan.
She bested five other candidates for the right to represent Northern Marianas at the 2019 Miss International beauty pageant in Japan in November.
Sasamoto, a student of Northern Marianas College, wants elementary school students to know more about local culture and heritage.
“I want to reach out to them and other members of the community. I also realize that helping others can give you a better understanding of the world,” she was quoted in an interview weeks before the finale.
