Selena Urias, a native of Belize City, was recently appointed as Miss International Belize 2019 by Mr. Enrique De Leon, the national director of Belize for Miss International. The 23-year-old Urias will be flying to Japan this October and will be carrying Belize’s flag for the first time since 2012 at the Miss International stage.
The newly installed beauty queen holds a degree in Business Administration. She participated at Miss Belize Universe 2018 where she ended in the Top 5. She later represented Belize in Bolivia at Reina Hispanoamericana 2018 and also at the Reina del Tropico 2018 in Honduras.
Urias is an activist and supporter for Haven House which is a facility for domestic abused women in Belize. She advocates for women empowerment and equality.
