Queen Elizabeth Makune was crowned Miss Tanzania 2018 during the finals held September 8 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam.
The 22-year-old accounting student from Dar es Salaam will now represent her country at the 2018 Miss World finals in Sanya, China in December.
Nelly Kazikazi and Sandra Giovinazzo were first and second runners-up, respectively.
No stranger to pageants, Makune competed in World Miss University 2017 where she was named continental queen of Africa.
