Phoebe Soegiono from New South Wales was crowned Miss Earth Australia 2021 during the virtual finals held September 25.
The 23-year-old retail consultant will represent the nation at the 2021 Miss Earth pageant to be held later this year. She succeeded 2020 winner Brittany Dickson.
Her elemental court included Miss Air Jessica Marchi, Miss Fire Iris Le, and Miss Water Nicole Wilson and Miss Charity Sarah Tute.
Soegiono, whose parents are both Indonesian, was born and raised in Australia and lived in Indonesia for a couple of years when she was young.
“I want to raise awareness of environmental changes within our earth, to continue to sustain our Earth for the future by using innovative ways to lessen our carbon footprint,” Soegiono said in her MEA profile.
