Perla Helou, a 22-year-old Baabda native, is Miss Lebanon 2017.

She beat 14 other canddates to take the crown on Sunday’s coronation night at Casino du Liban in Maameltein, Jounieh. She was crowned by last year’s winner, Sandy Tabet.

The business management graduate will now represent her country at the 2017 Miss World finals scheduled for November in China.

Jana Sader placed first runner-up, while Sabine Najem was second runner-up. Reem Khoury and Yousra Mohsen were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Lebanon has yet to win the Miss World crown. The closest they got was a Top 5 finish in 2015 with Valerie Abou Chacra. Missosology.Org
