Heavy favorite Opal Suchata Chuangsri won the Miss Universe Thailand 2024 title during a televised pageant held at MCC Hall in Bangkok. She was crowned by the outgoing queen and Miss Universe 2023 1st runner-up Anntonia Porsild. Opal Suchata Chuangsri will compete for the Miss Universe 2024 title later this year in Mexico. She hopes to become the third Thai woman to win the prestigious international crown.

A breast cancer survivor, Opal Suchata Chuangsri is 21 years of age and is a student of Thammasat University. She is currently pursuing a degree in Politics and International Relations. She stands 5’11” and was a 2nd runner-up at the Miss Universe Thailand 2022 pageant.

A total of 40 contestants from across the country competed for the Miss Universe Thailand title. Surisa Suzana Renaud was named as the first runner-up while Karnruethai Tassabut was the second runner-up. Making it to the Top 5 are Boonyisa Chantrarachai (third runner-up) and Maitai Suriyanyong (4th runner-up).
