Oh Wei Qi will represent Singapore at the 71st Miss World pageant. The 23-year-old beauty who is currently taking up Masters in Design and works as a Fashion Designer admitted that she was shocked after she was crowned. “Everything feels so surreal to me, it feels like a dream,” she stated in her Facebook post. “Last year I joined Miss World Singapore 2021 and emerged as one of the top 6, with best hair and people’s choice award. It was my first pageant experience and definitely one that taught me the beauty of Miss World and the possibilities I can do to give back to the society”.
The Miss World Singapore 2022 pageant was held at The Theatre at Mediacorp spearheaded by HyperLive Entertainment. The event was attended by the reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska. Also crowned during the pageant Gerlyn Cheah who took the Miss Intercontinental Singapore 2022 title and Saranya Chyenne who was named Miss Globe Singapore 2022.
