An attorney from North Carolina was crowned Miss USA 2019 on May 2 at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino’s (GSR) Grand Theatre in Reno, Nevada.
Cheslie Kryst, 28, received the crown from outgoing queen Sarah Rose Summers. She will represent the USA in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
New Mexico’s Alejandra Gonzalez placed 1st runner-up, while Oklahoma’s Triana Browne finished 2nd runner-up.
Kryst is the third winner from North Carolina. The state first won in 2005 with Chelsea Cooley, and bagged the crown again in 2009 with Kristen Dalton.
She is a full-time attorney that is licensed to practice law in two states. She earned both her law degree and MBA from Wake Forest University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. Missosology.Org
