Natalie Ortega was crowned the new Miss Universe Spain during the finals held September 18 at the Teatro Kapital in Madrid.

The 20-year-old Spanish-Norwegian model will represent Spain at the 2019 Miss Universe competition. She received the crown from last year’s winner Angela Ponce, who made history as the first transgender contestant in Miss Universe’s 66-year history.

Athenea Pérez and Claudia Coba placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
