Pageant veteran Natalia Piguła has been named the new Miss Universe Poland 2020 and will represent the country at the 69th Miss Universe pageant in May in Florida, USA.
The 26-year-old civil engineer, model and businesswoman replaces Miss Polski 2019 Magdalena Kasiborska, who will not be able to compete in Miss Unuiverse due to health reasons.
“Since I was a child, I dreamed of entering the stage of the best competition in the world – Miss Universe. I thought that this dream would not be fulfilled, because I decided that my time in beauty contests was over and that probably nothing awaits me anymore. It happened otherwise,” Piguła wrote on Instagram. “I have one month left to prepare, which usually takes several months. Fortunately, I have people around me that I can always count on!”
Piguła was first runner-up in Miss Polski 2019. Prior to that she competed at the Reinado Internacional del Café 2020 pageant and placed third runner-up. In 2013, she represented Poland in Miss Intercontinental and placed in the Top 15.
Poland has yet to win the Miss Universe crown. The country ranks 22nd in Missosology Big 5 Ranking. Missosology.Org
