Naomi Colford was crowned Miss World Canada 2019 during the finals held July 27 at the Toronto Centre for the Arts Lyric theatre.

The 19-year-old second-year university nursing student from Sydney, , Nova Scotia bested 55 other candidates for the title and the right to represent Canada at the 2019 Miss World finals in December in London.

“I can’t even put into words how good it feels and I’m just honoured and proud that I get to represent my country,” Colford was quoted by Toronto Sun.

Gloren Guelos and Courtney Mandock placed first and second runners-up, respectively. Erin Chapman, Jardine David, and Nicole Elendu completed the Top 6.
