A former Miss Earth finalist will be Nepal’s representative to the Miss Universe pageant for the first time in history.
Nagma Shrestha on Friday, September 22, was crowned Miss Nepal Universe during the 23rd anniversary gala of Miss Nepal held at Hotel Annapurna in Kathmandu.
The 25-year-old model and television host will compete in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
The Hidden Treasure organization acquired the franchise rights for Miss Universe in Nepal. The organization has been organizing the national pageant for the the country’s bets to Miss World, Miss Earth, and Miss International.
Shrestha was Miss Earth Nepal 2012 and Top 8 finalist in Miss Earth 2012 held in the Philippines, the first Nepali to reach the finals of an international pageant.
