Nadja Breytenbach was crowned Miss Namibia 2019 during the finals held July 6 in Windhoek.
The 24-year-old intern psychological counselor will represent her country in the next edition of the Miss Universe competition.
“Words can’t possibly describe how I feel right now,” Breytenbach posted on her Instagram account. “My Namibia, I know that being a Miss Namibia is both a honour, but also a very big responsibility. I am very excited to take you on this journey with me.”
Julita-Kitwe Mbangula and Johanna Swartbooi placed first and second runners-up, respectively. Yana Haenisch and Varaa Hambira completed the Top 5.
Breytenbach will travel to Miami for a training course with former Miss Universe Michelle McLean from Namibia.
