Nadine Pfaffeneder was crowned Miss Earth Austria 2020 in a special ceremony held recently in Vienna.

The 19-year-old from Oberösterreich will represent the country at the 2020 Miss Earth virtual competition in November.

She received the crown from last year’s winner Melanie Gassner, who now holds the Miss Earth Austria franchise.

“In the future, I would like to campaign for the recycling of waste,” Pfaffeneder was quoted by meinbezirk.at.

Austria almost won the Miss Earth crown twice: Katia Wagner and Melanie Mader bagged the Miss Earth Air elemental title in 2013 and 2018, respectively. Missosology.Org; Photos from Philipp Hutter; Nadine Pfaffeneder; Andreas Tischler
