Monique Riley represented the state of New South Wales in the national competition held at Warner Bros. Movie World in the Gold Coast. She is 27 years old and works as a model, actress, and as an executive assistant. She has a degree in Creative Industries from the Queensland University of Technology. The 5’9″ tall and hopes to become the third Miss Universe titleholder from Australia following the footsteps of Kerry Ann Wells and Jennifer Hawkins.
A total of 28 contestants vied for this year’s Miss Universe Australia title. Annalise Dalinis was named as the first runner-up while Ciara Grehan is the third runner-up. Completing the Top 5 are Hanni Rose Howe and Alana Deutsher-Moore. Making it to Top 10 are: Elissa Laforce, Darcy Spinks, Kymberlee Street, Jacinta Pizzata, and Miné Coetser.
