A first in male pageant history.
The Mister International Organization (MIO) on March 5 announced that starting 2019, transgender men will be allowed to compete in the Mister International and Mister Singapore competitions.
The decision to open the competition to transgender contestants is in line with MIO’s “foundation of inclusion” and “celebration of diversity and of all cultures”.
In a statement furnished to Missosology, MIO president Alan Sim said, “We support equality for all men, and this is something we take very seriously.
