Predictable is the best word to describe the Miss World Philippines pageant in the last five years.

Each year, there’s always that one lady who is named “the girl to beat” since Day One and ends up winning it all. And this year is looking to be no different.

A clear frontrunner even before the screenings is 22-year-old Filipino-Australian model Catriona Gray. Winning the Miss Hannah’s World Philippines and Miss Folded & Hung sponsor awards and bagging the Best in Talent honor (she’s a singer, too) are enough proof that this is her pageant to lose.

To be fair though, Catriona worked hard to earn her “girl to beat” status. Aside from her singing and modeling experience, she already prepared for her Beauty With A Purpose campaign: the PARAISO project. She hosted a benefit concert to raise funds to build a pre-school and childcare center in Tondo, Manila. Catriona definitely fits the ‘Miss World” template and that’s the reason she is leading our FINAL HOT PICKS.

Second on out list is Sandra Lemonon, a 21-year-old part-time model, painter and baker who speaks five languages.

23-year-old Marah Munoz completes our top 3. she was a Mutya ng Pilipinas candidate and Pinay Beauty Queen Academy runner-up.
