A special send-off was given to Miss World Philippines 2015 Hillarie Danielle Parungao on Friday afternoon, November 13, at C3 Events Place in Greenhills, San Juan.
The 24-year-old nursing graduate and professional model from Solano, Nueva Vizcaya is scheduled to leave on November 21 to compete in the 2015 Miss World pageant in Sanya, China.
“As I embark on this journey, I would like to encourage the Filipino media and all of my fellow countrymen to have another look on what Miss World is truly all about,” she said in a statement released prior to the event.
She has been undergoing intensive training for the international competition since her national pageant win last October 18.
She will wear 100% all-Filipino gowns showcasing the best of Philippine Fashion. She will be wearing gowns by Mark Tumang, Cherry Veric, Randy Ortiz and Bing Cristobal.
The 65th edition of the Miss World pageant will be held on December 19 at the Beauty Crown Theatre in Sanya.
