Phiranya Thipphomvong was crowned by outgoing queen Phaimany Lathsabanthao on June 8th at the Saint Phila Convention Hall in Vientiane. She is 28 years of age and she is an actress, model and a businesswoman. A total of 18 contestants vied in this years Miss Universe Laos pageant.
Phiranya Thipphomvong hopes to become the first ever Lao beauty queen to win the Miss Universe crown. The highest placement of Laos at Miss Universe was in 2022 when Payengxa Lor made it to the Top 20.
