To carry the South Korean banner in this year’s Miss Universe pageant which will be held in El Salvador is 28-year-old Soyun Kim (김소윤). She hails from the province of Gyeongnam and has studied acting and modeling at Seo Kyeong University. She hopes to become a fashion designer someday and she is a horseback riding enthusiast.
The Miss Universe Korea 2023 pageant was held Grand Walkerhill in Seoul. A total of 37 contestants participated in the contest. Till this date, no Korean beauty queen has ever won the Miss Universe crown. The closest they’ve even been to a crown was in 1988 when Jang Yoon-jeong finished as first runner-up.
