The 24-year-old model and influencer will represent Italy at the 71st Miss Universe pageant which will held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on January 14, 2023. Virgnia Stablum is currently studying Communication Sciences and she has German and Nigerian ancestries. A total of 20 contestants vied for the Miss Universe Italy title. Michela Rossi is the first runner-up while Chiara Davanzo is the second runner-up.
Interestingly, Italy is yet to win the Miss Universe crown. The country’s highest placement at the pageant was in 1960 when Daniela Bianchi was named first runner-up to USA’s Linda Bement and in 1987 when Roberta Capua finished as first runner-up to Chile’s Cecilia Bolocco. The last Italian woman to place in the semis was Valentina Bonariva who made it to the Top 15 of Miss Universe 2014 pageant.
