Florence Garcia, representing the San Miguel department, won the Miss Universe El Salvador title during a glittering pageant held at Teatro Presidente in San Salvador. The 25-year-old model will represent Ecuador at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant which will be held in Mexico this November.
A total of 14 candidates competed for the national title. Luciana Martínez Is the 1st runner-up while Giselle Sandoval is the 2nd runner-up. Jocelyn Gallegos and Iris Guerra completed the Top 5.
Florence Garcia hopes to become the first Salvadoran woman to win the coveted Miss Universe crown. The highest placement of her country at the pageant was a 1st runner-up finish of Maribel Arrieta Gálvez in 1955. El Salvador is currently ranked 69th at the Big5 Ranking.
