24-year-old Matila Wirtavouri was crowned as new Miss Suomi. She will compete for the Miss Universe 2024 title in Mexico this November. Hailing from Tampere, Matilda is has a Masters Degree in Economics and is an entrepreneur.

Finland is the first ever country to win the Miss Universe crown. Armi Kuusela made history when she clinched the inaugural title back in 1952. In 1975, Anne Marie Pohtamo brought home the second crown. In her post crowning interview, the confident Matilda Wirtavouri vowed to become the third Finnish woman to win the prestigious title.

Tiia Aalto was declared as the first runner-up. She is most likely to compete at the Miss International 2024 pageant. Meanwhile, Amanda Hakalax is the second runner-up. Based on previous title assignments, she will compete at the Miss World 2025.
