Maja Zupan from Britofa was crowned Miss Slovenia 2017 at a glittering finale held Saturday, September 9 in Ljubljana.
The 17-year-old high school student bested 14 other ladies for the right to represent Slovenia at the 2017 Miss World finals in Sanya in November.
“The feeling when you hear your name being called the winner is wonderful. It is indecribably beautiful,” Zupan said in her native language. “I am aware of all the responsibilities that the crown brings…above all charity.”
