After the back-to-back victory of the Philippines in the Miss Earth pageant in 2014 and 2015, all eyes will definitely be on Miss Philippines Earth as they search for the country’s next Earth Warriors.
This year, more than 30 girls from the different provinces in the country and Filipino communities abroad are competing. Who among them are one step ahead of the game? Here’s Missosology Philippines’ First Hot Picks.
Leading our first list is Miss PILILLA, RIZAL. Kisszel Malazarte was surprisingly ignored at this year’s Bb Pilipinas screening. But this didn’t stop her from pursuing her dreams of becoming a beauty queen. “I want to be Miss Philippines Earth because I want to make a difference,” she says.
In second place is Miss CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA, Korina Christiene Reyes. This business management graduate joined MPE “so I can use my passion, talents and voice to spark a change and help spread environmental awareness so people would come as one and unite to save our one and only planet.”
In third place is Miss DIGOS CITY, Grapes Tiempo Pacara. She has been joining beauty pageants since kindergarten and her first national pageant experience was in Miss World Philippines last year.
Coming in fourth is the stunner from STA. ROSA LAGUNA. Riji Anne Mae Canog studied chemistry at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. “As a Chemistry Major, I would promote the use of biofuel, bioplastic and fuel cells,” she says.
Rounding up the top 5 for now is Miss LOBO, BATANGAS. Krissandra Marie Abel holds a degree in cruise line operations in hotel services. She has always dreamed of representing the Philippines in an international pageant.
The rest of our top 10 for now are:
PIAT CAGAYAN | Anna Mae Cagurangan joined MPE to help preserve the natural beauty of the undeveloped tourist spots in the country.
CITY OF SAN PEDRO | Athena Mari Jamaica Catriz s no stranger to pageants. Last year, she represented the Philippines in Miss Summer International pageant in Baranquilla, Colombia and placed 3rd runner-up. She was also Miss Global Philippines 2014 Tourism Ambassador.
