It’s official: the 2021 Miss International beauty pageant set for November this year has been cancelled citing “health and safety issues”, the Miss International organization confirmed with Missosology today.

The next edition, dubbed the 60th Miss International, will instead be held in the fall of 2022. Details of which will be announced in due time.

“We would like to express our deepest regret especially to the participants from all over the world, and to all those who have been supporting our event every year. We humbly ask for your understanding in light of this unusual circumstance which is beyond our control,” the organization said in a statement.

The 2021 edition of the pageant was initially scheduled for November 2021. Miss International 2019 Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand will fulfill her responsibility until she turns over the title next year. Missosology.Org
