The Miss International pageant officially kicked off today by conducting its first official activity. The Miss Visit Japan Tourism Ambassador 2022 selection was conducted and the award was given to Miss Spain Julianna Ro. The event is part of the a collaboration between the pageant and the Japan National Tourism Organization.
The Miss International 2022 pageant will be held on December 13 in Tokyo. This is the first pageant since 2019 as the 2020 and 2021 pageants were cancelled due to the pandemic. A total of 67 contestants will vie for the prestigious gown and title. Miss Ghana Caroline Naa Nunoo withdrew at last minute and the reason is yet to be disclosed.
