The 45th Miss Intercontinental pageant will take place Sunday, October 16th at Stein Studio Colombo in Sri Lanka. From more than 60 girls, only one will win the coveted crown.
After seeing all the girls in the past weeks up close and judging their performances from Day One, it’s not easy to narrow down the field to just 15 girls. However, there are a few who effortlessly stand out.
We forsee a two-way battle for the title between the front-runners: Miss Philippines Jennifer Hammond and Miss Puerto Rico Heilymar Rosario Velazquez.
Miss Puerto Rico Heilymar Rosario Velazquez is a beauty that stands out in a crowd. She has a distinct look that is very marketable plus a very infectious smile. She also has an impeccable wardrobe! Her fluency in both English and Spanish could also work to her advantage. She’s our leader for North America.
Leading the Asia group is the sophisticated Miss Philippines Jennifer Hammond. She is the most elegant girl in the competition. Her actions and words speak a lot about her good attitude. She has a great catwalk and stage presence, too. She’s obviously well-prepared for this and her excellent communication skills could help propel her to the top.
In third place is our leader for Africa, Miss Ghana Silvia Commodore. Don’t be deceived by pictures because this lady has one of the most beautiful faces in the competition. Her towering height accentuates her queenly aura.
South America’s best bet for the crown is Miss Venezuela Amal Karina Nemer. The group has a lot of competitive ladies but Amal stands out because of her Arab-Lebansese features. She is alos good in interviews; however, her body is her waterloo. But she is Miss Venezuela and her performance will offset that imperfection.
And rounding up our top 5 is one of Europe’s best faces, Miss Italy Floriana Russo. This brunette’s sun-kissed skin and defined facial features make her a stand out. Add to that her well-proportioned body and elegant catwalk moves, she could be the night’s surprise.
