Representing the county of Lancashire, Jessica Ashley Gagen beat 30 other contestants to win the coveted Miss England title. She is an aerospace engineer who studied at the University of Liverpool and is 26 years of age. Bullied during her younger years due to her hair color, she made history as the first-ever red head to win Miss England.
Jessica Ashley Gagen will compete at the 71st Miss World pageant which is expected to held next year. England, along with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, compete separately at the Miss World pageant since 2000. Prior to that, all of these countries are represented by Miss United Kingdom.
