A former Mutya ng Pilipinas titleholder will represent Australia at the 2017 Miss Earth finals.
Filipino-Australian Nina Robertson from Melbourne was crowned Miss Earth Australia 2017 on Saturday, September 2. She bested 61 other candidates for the right to compete in the Miss Earth pageant to be held in the Philippines in November.
Her elemental court included Brittany Dickson (Miss Air), Riley Aston-Kampioti (Miss Water) and Kelsey McAlpine (Miss Fire).
Robertson was Mutya ng Pilipinas Overseas Communities 2015. She a 19-year-old national aerobics champ, hockey enthusiast and Bachelor of Science student at the University of Melbourne.
Australia has yet to win the Miss Earth crown, but came close to winning in 2015 when Dayana Grageda was named Miss Earth Air 2015. Missosology.Org
